Michael Gold

Chief Executive Officer

Michael Gold is Intermedia's CEO, leading the organization with a focus on profitably growing the company through an increasingly broader set of cloud services—and a superior experience for customers and partners. Gold joined Intermedia in May 2011 as President, as part of the company's acquisition by leading private equity firm Oak Hill Capital Partners. He transitioned to CEO in May, 2015.

Gold brings over 15 years of senior management experience in cloud services and channel development. Before joining Intermedia, he was CEO of Zlago, a cloud services company he founded and grew via a nationwide network of managed service providers, VARs, and other channel partners. Previously, Gold was a senior vice president at cloud automation provider Parallels. Gold came to Parallels through its acquisition of Sphera, a cloud services company where he served as CEO.

Gold has held a variety of other executive roles in the industry, including CEO of software company Vicorp and senior vice president of Qwest Communications, where he had P&L responsibility for the Internet Products business and launched Qwest's CyberCenter datacenter and hosting business. Long dedicated to the channel community that supports small and mid-size businesses, he was named one of the 25 most innovative executives by CRN and Everything Channel in 2009 and 2010. Gold earned a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Illinois and an MBA from Stanford.

Bob Tirva

Chief Financial Officer

Bob Tirva, Chief Financial Officer, has global responsibility for all of Intermedia’s financial functions, including the company’s accounting, financial planning and analysis, treasury, tax and internal IT functions.

Prior to Intermedia, Tirva held the role of Corporate Controller at Dropbox, where he was responsible for developing the company’s accounting organization. Prior to joining Dropbox, Tirva spent nearly 14 years at Broadcom Corporation, holding a range of finance roles of increasing responsibility, including Senior Vice President, Chief Accounting Officer and Vice President of Finance. Before Broadcom, Tirva held positions with IBM Corporation, Navistar Financial Corporation and Ernst & Young. Tirva holds an MBA from the Yale School of Management and a bachelor of business administration degree in Accounting from the University of Notre Dame.

Jonathan McCormick

Chief Operating Officer

As COO, Jonathan McCormick manages all Intermedia hosting operations and operations staff. With the company since 2007, McCormick has played an integral role in bringing a number of industry firsts to market for the company including the launch of the company's first in-country UK datacenter. McCormick creates a positive environment heading Intermedia's Mountain View, CA office where inter-department collaboration and teaming is a strong focus.

Prior to joining the team at Intermedia, McCormick was employed as the SVP of operations and client services for Savvis, the global provider of managed hosting, network and collocation facilities. In this capacity he was responsible for the management of all operations and customer service organizations globally.

McCormick is frequently sought after as a thought leader in the business communications space to add commentary on industry trends and events. He has been published in such outlets as EWeek, Network World and SC Magazine. He received a double major in Psychology and Economics from Trinity College in Hartford, CT.

Eric A. Martorano

SVP of Worldwide Sales

Martorano is responsible for Intermedia’s sales, sales operations and strategic channel alliances across the globe.

With over 20 years of experience in the industry, Martorano has deep expertise in working closely and strategically with a range of customers and partners, and a passion for customer and partner success.

Prior to Intermedia, Martorano spent over eight years at Microsoft, most recently as General Manager of U.S. Channel Sales where he had over $17 billion of revenue responsibility. Before Microsoft, Martorano led a number of key initiatives and strategies at other notable companies such as Sage Software and Ingram Micro. He started his career working for a Value Added Reseller (VAR) located in Southern California.

Martorano has been recognized as a top industry performer, including being named to CRN’s "50 Most Influential Channel Chiefs”, “Top 100 Executives” and “Channel Maverick” lists, among others. He also serves as a member of CompTIA’s Board of Directors. Martorano holds an MBA from Pepperdine University and a bachelor’s degree from California State University, Northridge.

Andrew Gachechiladze

SVP of Product Development and Engineering

Andrew Gachechiladze leads Intermedia’s product development and engineering groups overseeing the development of software products for a hosted environment – including software as a service (SaaS) and unified communications as a service (UCaaS).

With the company since 2001, Gachechiladze was previously a product manager for hosted Microsoft Exchange. During his tenure, he helped Intermedia deliver new hosted products (such as Exchange 2007, Exchange 2010, OCS 2007 and Unison) ahead of the competition. He also helped promote policies and procedures for the software development and engineering teams (such as general architecture, development cycles and communications) that allows Intermedia to develop and support one of the hosted industry’s best control panels.

Prior to Intermedia, Gachechiladze was a software developer at ThinkWave, the California-headquarted software company as well as at KomiEximBank in Moscow, Russia. He also held the position of technical director at SAnet, the first internet hosting company located in the Republic of Georgia.

Gachechiladze holds a degree in physics and computer science from Tbilisi State University.

Irina Shamkova

SVP of Product Management

As Senior Vice President of Product Management, Irina Shamkova is responsible for designing and driving Intermedia’s product strategy. Over Irina's 15-year tenure at Intermedia, she has built and led high-performance Product Management, Project Management, UI/UX, and Customer Experience teams and processes.

Under Irina's leadership, Intermedia’s proprietary product portfolio has expanded to cover broader communication and collaboration needs, including two fast growing solutions—Cloud Voice and SecuriSync backup and file sharing. She also was integral in enriching the Cloud Email product family with the addition of Office 365, Email Archiving, Encryption, and more, which drove Intermedia to become the world's largest independent provider of business grade email.

Additionally, Irina helped establish Intermedia as a leading channel provider of cloud IT solutions by overseeing the development of a key differentiator—Partner Portal, a comprehensive, easy-to-use set of partner enablement tools, that allow partners to white-label services and own the end-to-end customer relationship.

Irina has been named to CRN’s Women of the Channel list for two consecutive years. She holds a Masters in Applied Mathematics from Saint Petersburg State University in Russia and has completed the General Management Program at Harvard University.

Jonathan Levine

Chief Technology Officer

Jonathan Levine joined Intermedia in 2015 with more than twenty-five years of experience in information technology, cloud operations, data analytics, software development and corporate strategy.  As Chief Technology Officer, he is responsible for the company’s technology strategy, ensuring that Intermedia continues to deliver the security, availability and value that its customers depend on.

Prior to Intermedia, Levine served in wide variety of senior leadership roles at Rakuten, Japanese leading e-commerce and Internet service company.  Most recently, he was the Vice Managing Director of Rakuten Group’s Development Unit, where he was responsible for global technology and corporate infrastructure, and where he established Rakuten’s Next Generation Data Center, Private Cloud, Backbone Network and Global Development and Operation Center. 

Levine was also a board member of Fusion Communications, Rakuten’s telecommunications carrier, ISP and public cloud subsidiary.  Previously, he served as Board Director, Chief Operating Officer, co-President and CTO of Rakuten’s Online Advertising Subsidiary LinkShare; he was also an Advisor to the CEO and to the CTO of Rakuten Group, and he lead important initiatives in platform modernization, globalization and data analytics. During his tenure, Rakuten expanded from fewer than fifty employees to more than 10,000.
 
Prior to his long career at Rakuten, Levine was co-founder and VP of Engineering at ePhysician.  He also held management positions at Internet pioneer PointCast, IBM and Lotus Development.  Early in his career he was a software developer for Oracle.
 
Levine holds five patents on his innovations in online marketing and database technology, is the co-author of two books on e-commerce and Java technology, and is a popular speaker and interviewee in Japan on cloud, virtualization, and database consolidation.

Jeff Eisenberg

Senior Vice President and General Counsel

Jeff Eisenberg joined Intermedia in October 2014. As Senior Vice President and General Counsel, Jeff is responsible for all of Intermedia’s legal affairs, including commercial agreements, intellectual property strategy, litigation, regulatory compliance, M&A transactions and corporate governance.

Before joining Intermedia, Eisenberg spent over seven years with KLA-Tencor Corporation, where he oversaw the company’s corporate legal matters, including securities law compliance, M&A activity, corporate governance and a diverse range of other areas.  Prior to that, he served in a corporate legal role with Mercury Interactive Corporation, which eventually included managing the sale of the company to Hewlett-Packard Corporation.

Before moving in-house, Eisenberg focused on corporate and securities law and M&A at law firms Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati (Palo Alto, CA) and O’Melveny & Myers (Los Angeles, CA).

Eisenberg obtained his J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania and his B.A. in Economics (with a minor in Business Administration) from the University of California at Berkeley.

Robert E. Leibholz

SVP of Business Development & Strategic Accounts

Robert “Bob” Leibholz oversees Intermedia's sales and business development activities as well as key partnerships. He is responsible for creating and expanding the company’s channel network to over 4,000 private label partners, as well as the extension of the program to Latin America and inking deals with Fortune 100-ranked Ingram Micro and Dell. He has lead Intermedia’s sales growth to become the industry leader in the business communication space.

In past positions at companies such as ASCAP and The Harry Fox Agency, Inc., Leibholz led licensing, sales and client relationship disciplines. Long a technology-focused business executive, he was the chief business driver for numerous technology projects, including an entertainment industry digital rights management system and many web-based client-facing applications.

A graduate of Carnegie-Mellon University, Leibholz served as editor for the American Management Associate course, The Art and Discipline of Managing Software Projects. A frequent speaker, he is sought after as a thought leader in business communications for small and medium size businesses.

Managing Director, Madison Dearborn Partners

Zaid Alsikafi is a Managing Director on the Madison Dearborn Partners (MDP) Telecom, Media & Technology Services team. Before joining MDP, Mr. Alsikafi was with Goldman, Sachs & Co. in the financial institutions group, and with MDP as an Associate for two years. In addition to Intermedia, Mr. Alsikafi currently serves on the Boards of Directors of Centennial Towers, Liquid Web, and Univision Communications Inc. Former board memberships include NextG Networks, Q9 Networks, QuickPlay Media and Fieldglass. Mr. Alsikafi earned a B.S. degree from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, and an M.B.A. from Harvard Graduate School of Business Administration.

James “Jim" Perry is a Managing Director on the Madison Dearborn Partners (MDP) Telecom, Media & Technology Services team. Prior to co-founding MDP, Mr. Perry was with First Chicago Venture Capital for eight years. Previously, he was with The First National Bank of Chicago. In addition to Intermedia, Mr. Perry currently serves on the Boards of Directors of Asurion Corporation, Centennial Towers, Liquid Web, The Topps Company, Univision Communications, and Chicago Public Media. Mr. Perry earned a B.A. degree from University of Pennsylvania, and an M.B.A. from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business. He currently sits on the Board of Overseers of the University of Pennsylvania School of Arts and Sciences and serves as Vice-chairman of the School Board of the Archdiocese of Chicago.

Vice President, Madison Dearborn Partners

Prior to joining Madison Dearborn Partners (MDP), Brendan Barrett was with Morgan Stanley and with MDP as an Associate for three years. In addition to Intermedia, Mr. Barrett currently serves on the Board of Directors of EVO Payments International. Mr. Barrett earned B.A. and B.B.A degrees from University of Notre Dame, and an M.B.A. from Harvard Graduate School of Business Administration.
