Extensive flexible policies and granular filtering
Point-of-click protection against malicious links
Intermedia Email Protection uses a powerful and unique set of approaches to stop spam and phishing with a detection rate over 99% and near-zero false positives. Multiple tier-1 AV solutions, along with non-commercial AV tools, use both signature-based and heuristics-based detection to protect against all types of malware, including both known and emerging “zero-hour” threats in the earliest stages of their proliferation, keeping email users safe from viruses, worms, trojans and other types of malicious code.
Extensive flexible policies and granular filtering provide administrators with ultimate control over how email, including spam, is managed and delivered. Administrators can set the sensitivity of their spam filtering and define policies on a company-wide, group or user level. The ability to assign policies to domains, distribution lists or mailboxes provides optimum control over how spam is handled.
An intuitive interface makes Intermedia Email Protection easy-to-use for businesses with limited IT resources as well as larger companies who want more sophisticated controls. Administrators can easily manage all email security settings and define policies directly from the HostPilot® Control Panel. The convenient point-and-click interface simplifies the process of defining complex rules and policies related to spam handling, file attachment management, and other features.
Intermedia LinkSafe™ prevents users from accessing known phishing sites or webpages containing malicious code. This proprietary technology rewrites all links within messages and then tracks when users click on them. When a link is clicked, LinkSafe will immediately check the reputation of the page, and if unknown, will initiate a live scan of the page looking for malicious code. If the page is considered suspicious or dangerous, the user will be presented with an appropriate warning.
